LVCC soy candles are hand poured in small batches to ensure the best quality every time. Due to being handmade, each and every candle is different just like snowflakes. The wax may have variations in look and texture. This is a sign of pure soy wax, not a defect. If your candle has one of these variations, it is simply character of the candle and it will not affect the candles performance in any way

2. Candle & Wax Melt Care

Candles: For the first burn, it is important to burn the candle until the wax fully melts across the width of the candle. This will help extend the life of your candle and prevent tunneling. Always trim the wick to ¼” before lighting to ensure a longer lasting candle and a safer burn. For best results we recommend burning for no longer than 3-4 hours at a time.

Wax Melts: Remove from package and place in a UL listed electric warmer approved for wax melts. Do not leave melter unattended while in use. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not eat. Do not add water, do not melt on a stove top or any non-approved appliances.

Only use in well ventilated areas and away from flammable objects, materials and surfaces.

FAQ's

What wax do you use?

We use soy wax natural, sustainable, vegan and non-toxic. You can expect an even and long-lasting burn from our candles.

Are all soy candles the same?

Unfortunately, no. Label guidelines allow any candle that is at least 51% soy to be labeled as a soy wax candle. This means there could be 49% that is paraffin, beeswax, palm wax, or coconut wax. We ONLY use natural soy wax . Our wax is considered vegan indicating it does not contain any other wax.

Do you use essential oils in your candles?

We use high-quality, clean fragrance oils that are specifically made for candles and contain essential oil components. All of our fragrances are free of phthalates, parabens, and petroleum. The delicate and costly nature of essential oils does not lend to creating candles, so we recommend customers diffuse or otherwise enjoy their essential oils, and buy high quality, natural wax candles for burning. On occasion we have been asked to produce essential oil candles and we will create them on request.

What about dyes or other additives?

Our candles are natural wax and fragrance oil only, and we use cotton or wooden wicks free of metal, zinc and lead. If we dye the candles/wax melts for special orders/occasions we use specific colorants provided by candle suppliers.

What size candle do I need for my space?

Rule of thumb is, the larger the vessel diameter, the larger the room it will accommodate. Our 4oz candles work great in average sized bathrooms, or smaller bedrooms/offices. Our 8oz candles, our most popular, work great in bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and typical sized living/work spaces. Large spaces with high ceilings or open floor plans may need our large 16oz candle, or multiple candles, for the best fragrance permeation. You can have multiple candles of the same scent, or mix and match them for your own unique blends.

Can your containers be reused?

Yes, all of our candle containers can be reused! Simply place the container in the freezer for several hours until the wax hardens this way the wax can be chipped out easily. (discard all wax in the trash - never put wax down the drain or garbage disposal). Then soak the container with hot soapy water, remove all labels and it can be reused as a planter, pencil holder, or for whatever you can imagine.Due to the integrity of the container, and liability reasons, we are unable to refill your container. **with the exception of our cement vessels**

How do I clean split wax?

Soy wax is water soluable. Wait until the split wax has hardened and scrap any residue off and discard in trash. Wipe remaining residue with a damp warm cloth, or soak in warm soapy water, if possible.

How long do your candles burn?

Our 16oz candles should burn up to 100 hours, our 8oz candles up to 60 hours and the 4oz candles up to 35 hours, our wax melts will burn different times based on the amounts placed in the melting pots. All candles burn differently depending on size of candle, and room environment, i.e. whether in a draft area, etc. Also, if your wicks remained trimmed to 1/4" after each burn, and each burn allows for a complete surface pooling of the wax.

All orders are processed within 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving payment. We handcraft each soy candle with care, and this processing time is necessary to ensure the quality of our products.

3. Shipping Destinations

We currently only ship to addresses within Canada.
